Do you vote in political elections?
As i reside in Australia, voting is compolsory. I know that some of the time, it feels as though my choices on Election Day are limited to a couple of galahs.
But, because voting is compolsory, there are many minor parties, that create a middle ground in debate. The power is more evenly distributed over the political arena and there are many perspectives to support.
It was when women were given the right to vote, that child abuse, domestic violence and sexual crimes became offences. When someone has a right to vote, it is important to exercise that right.
I know that in America, it is different, but my hope is that some middle ground can be found between the two extremes and some common sense and compassionate debate takes place.
